Self-Reflection
Firstly,
the N307 course was something very new to me and upon seeing it as part of my
schedule for the current semester I was left wondering what it really consisted
of and if it would be difficult. At the end of the semester I improved my
listening and writing skills as well as my communication skills.
Secondly,
I could very much imagine using these skills that I have improved in the
future. Seeing as the new skills that I have learned and the skills that I
improved on will be used in a workplace environment in the future. This is very
important as work will be a big part of my life later on.
In
addition, the biggest challenges in business/work communications for me are
maybe making new friends with people I am going to be working with in the
future. Because I think it is difficult to have a friendly relationship with a
professional colleague.
Next,
the things I can do to address these challenges in the future would obviously
be the trial and error method. If first you don’t succeed then try and try
again. This is because making friends with colleague’s I think is very
important for the long and short term.
Finally,
the N307 course I think is a very important course for students to take because
for example it helps with developing C.V’s for people who never had the chance
to write one before. And this is a very important aspect to be learned.
